Oh my, it has been a busy few weeks… hence why I forgot to post a recap last week!
We have had our first round of the cold sweep through our house but I have to say this was the first year that I treated it with essential oils and I am no longer a skeptic. They really work! Even my husband jumped on board when I treated some of his digestive issues with an essential oil blend by rubbing it on his belly.
Along with our first seasonal cold, we have also been preparing for the holidays. We are hosting Thanksgiving next week and I am getting ready to start our Advent plan with the kids soon after that. Yesterday I completed ALL of my Christmas shopping under budget which I am super thrilled about because now I can enjoy December and the Advent season with my family without feeling like I need to rush around to finish up odds and ends.
In pregnancy news, I am getting big and feeling super uncomfortable 🙂
I have reached that stage where most of my shirts don’t fit leaving my lower belly exposed more than I care to admit, nor am I sleeping very well either. I’m 32 weeks which means I just have a few more to go and than life will be extremely different with raising a preschooler, toddler and a newborn. It’ll be crazy, busy but I’m looking forward to it. It will be such a joy to finally have our family complete, and my kids can’t stop talking about (or touching) by belly!
Psst…. did you catch my announcement earlier this week about looking for some guest posts for January and February? If you already filled out the form, I’ll be in contact with you soon!
As I’ve been reading through Choosing Gratitude, I have been reminded that gratitude is a choice and that when we choose to focus on the good blessings from above, God begins to do a real work in our hearts.
I have been really challenged as I fill in my gratitude journal each day, it’s been an eye opening experience to really focus on the little, everyday blessings as well as the big picture ones too.
Day 12: My little book worm in training
Day 15: My spunky little girl. This picture pretty much sums up her entire personality, why use a fork when you can use your hands? And apparently it’s a eat lunch in your PJs sort of day!
Day 16: What is better than a big pot of chicken noodle soup on a cold night? The warm buttered rolls in the oven come in at a close second
Day 18: Best of friends and reading buddies
Day 19: He is “reading” to her and it’s actually a pretty good story too!
To see even more gratitude photos and to follow me along on a daily basis, be sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter under the hashtag #CreativeBlessingsEveryday. I have also been sharing some on Facebook as well.
So what have you been thankful for this week?
