  1. I want to try this. I have super sensative skin so I don’t know how it’ll do but I’m going to try. Right now I just wash my face with water.

    1. Leslie I have pretty sensitive skin too and so far it hasn’t bothered my skin. Maybe you could try it on a small patch first and see how you skin reacts before you cover your whole face.

  2. Thanks so much for posting about this. I recently posted the recipe I use for washing my face (much like the Oil Cleansing method). I had a reader ask about scrubs. I usually use a little bit of baking soda (very gently) to exfoliate or just my washcloth. In my research for the reader, I came across the idea of using coffee grounds, but I haven’t tried it. Now I just might have to. Pinning this. Thanks, again!

    1. Hope you get the chance to Heather. I had never thought of using baking soda on my face but I have used it as a dry shampoo.

  6. I had a coffee grounds scrub once and it clogged my shower drain. 🙁 I’m not sure if the oil was solidifying in the drain or what. It was a mess! This looks so simple to make. I drink coffee every once in a while so this would be pretty cheap for me to make. I love natural alternatives!
Thanks for linking this up in the Bloggers Brags Weekly Pinterest Party, come again soon!

    1. I never thought about them clogging the drain! I have a pretty large drain with big holes so that’s why I never had a problem with that but that’s good to know if you have a smaller drain.

  7. I LOVE this scrub! My face has never looked or felt better! My skin is, so soft, I’m hooked!

  8. Thanks for posting ! ..To Rebekah you could use a coffee filter over your bathroom drain .hope it helps.

    1. I would check with your doctor if you aren’t sure. I know for me with my sensitive skin, it hasn’t caused any irritation or breakouts but everyone’s skin is different.

      1. Hello, must we be using the plain coffee ground or the coffee that beg in sachet will do as well? The ingredients in the sachet contains coffee beans, margarine, sugar and salt.

So, just would like to know will be it alright\safe to use the sachet type of coffee ground on our facial skin?

        Thank you!!!
