  1. I have stick straight hair, but I still use this method to save on condition. When you condition your hair this way, you save so much conditioner. The bottle lasts forever. As a side note, I am glad you are embracing your curls. Those who have straight hair usually wish for curls and vice verse.

  2. OMG! I love this idea! You are a genius! I have a ton of hair products so I am going to give this a try with one of my fave conditioners.

  3. Hey, I wanted to let you know that, after I saw this last week, I stopped shampooing my hair every day this week and tried just washing it with conditioner for a few days in between washings.

I’ve always known that it’s not good for our hair to be stripped with shampoo every day, and my scalp tends to get a little irritated by some natural shampoos. I’ve actually tried going “no-poo” for a couple months in the past (just washing/conditioning with vinegar and baking soda–yeah, that didn’t go over so well! My hair felt like a crow’s nest! LOL)

Your method worked SOO much better for me! I found that my hair actually felt softer (and just as clean as normal) on the days that I just washed my scalp with conditioner! Thanks so much! I’m going to make this leave in conditioner one of these days too. 🙂

    1. The no-poo also did not work well for me either! So glad that you have found that washing with just conditioner on a regular basis has helped your scalp and hair. It’s kind of amazing that something as simple as just plain ‘ol conditioner can do a great job at keeping your hair clean and soft. Glad it worked for you Jane 🙂

  4. I never knew this! Thanks for sharing. My hair is fine and tangles so easily. I pay $15 at the salon for leave-in conditioner. I am definitely trying this!

  5. Hi! Found this post from Pinterest. And I love the idea! As a child, I used to complain to Mom about my “cursed” curly hair. She would say God made me that way. Still I didn’t understand her, but now I’d like to look at it as a God-given gift to me. Your DIY idea should help me manage and appreciate my hair more. Thanks again!

  6. Pinned it! I will be doing this when my bottle of Suave leave-in conditioner is all gone, thanks Victoria!

    1. Your welcome Tobi, it still is one of my favorite DIY beauty products. I use it everyday on both mine and my daughter’s hair.
