As I planned for the arrival of my sweet little baby Jack (I’ll be sharing more about him tomorrow), I thought it would be fun to revisit some of the most popular, as well as personal favorite, blog posts over the past two years of blogging. This blog has grown so much that there are MANY posts that just very well may be new to you. I will be publishing this 8-post series every Friday during the next months as I rest and settle into a new life with 3 little ones three and under. I could use a few prayers too 😉
I hope you enjoy reading, or re-reading, these posts as much as I enjoyed going through the archives, finding some forgotten about gems. Read all the posts here
Today I’m sharing some of my favorite posts on cleaning and creating a routine. The beginning of January is always the perfect time to examine your cleaning schedule and develop the habit of getting into some routines to help manage your day. I’m a huge fan of having simple routines, even when life is in a crazy season like now!
In no particular order… here are my top favorite cleaning and routines posts!
This is the simplest floor cleaner that I use to clean ALL of my hardwood, tile and laminate floors. It cleans and disinfects without leaving a residue or sticky surface like so many other cleaners do. Best of all… only two frugal ingredients!
I personally use all of these cleaning tools to clean just about every surface in my house and they are definitely the BEST in my opinion. Not to expensive yet super effective.
I so needed to re-read these tips, especially now as I’m in the busy season of having a new baby. My house is certainly not white glove approved clean right now and you can bet that I AM doing all of these 4 tips right now, including #3!!!!
In a few
weeks months, I will be ready to pack up my maternity clothes and get back to my regular clothing. Which means that right now my closet is a mess! (There is grace, even for a person who wrote a whole book about getting dressed everyday and organizing your wardrobe!) These real tips are a reminder that you don’t have to have beautiful organizers or a fancy looking closet. You can easily get by with simple organizing hacks that you already have.
Going along with the above post, this is the post that started one of the most popular series to date on my blog and also inspired my eBook. Yes, I will be in desperate need of cleaning out my closet soon… but for now I am in a season of embracing my yoga pants! 😉
Just FYI, your purse is a lot dirtier than you may realize… and I’m not just talking about all the trash and random items on the inside either! Read on to find out what I mean.
It happens to the best of us, not all of us are wired to love cleaning. I for one look for just about every excuse I can possibly think of to avoid it. But the simple truth is, our homes NEED to be cleaned and we are usually the ones to do it.
I’m in a season where I am evaluating my routine (again) and that’s OK. For most of us, what worked last year may not work this year. We are constantly in need of evaluating of routines and creating ones that work, there is nothing wrong with changing things up when needed.
A free printable checklist (as well as a blank one to customize) to help us remember to do those chores that need to be done at least once a month.
I’m a firm believer in the idea that our most successful days start with a little intentional planning and prep the night before. Even though our family and home life is super unpredictable (and dare I say crazy right now?) I still do these things EVERY evening to make our mornings run a tad bit smoother.
So that’s my list… What are your favorite cleaning and organizing posts?
