You may have noticed that outside of my scheduled 4 Weeks to Organized Simplicity series, I’ve been a little absent around here. Well there are a few reason for that. First, we have been one sick family the month of January. Two rounds of the stomach bug (making that 4 total rounds this winter, ekk!), teething and fevers. My oh my, have we been sick! I’m hopeful that we are all on the mend and hopefully we can stay relatively healthy for the remainder of the winter (fingers crossed!). Fridays are the main day that I get to do most of my writing and blog business since Nana (aka my mom) comes over to spend the day with the kids, but the last two Fridays I have either been caring for a sick one or I was the sick one. So needless to say, not much blogging has taken place for the past few weeks. Then we I have been well enough to actually sit down and tackle some of my to-do list, I have had some technology issues. We are one of the fortunate few (I’m being sarcastic) that has been experiencing spotty internet service thanks to the nation wide issue that Att & T’s U-Verse has been experiencing.
So it’s been a less than productive couple of weeks around here, but you know what? I’m OK with that. Despite being sick, I have had the opportunity to have tons of extra cuddle time with the kids. I have been reading a lot too, so far I’ve already completed 6 books and am halfway through 3 more!
This was the view from my “office” yesterday morning as I was attempting to get things accomplished. My kids were “making me breakfast”. So sweet! Be sure to follow me on Instagram to stay up to date on more fun photos.
I’ve also been thinking through some plans for some upcoming blog related projects based on my goals for the year. So my unexpected sick break has resulted in some time for me to slow down and plan ahead a bit, which was much needed. My January Newsletter is set to be delivered later this week. A sneak preview at this month’s issue:
- Why Facebook hates me, and what I’m doing about it
- My scripture memory plan of attack and challenge
- The book that is challenging me like crazy
- Plus more

Finally for one last announcement, I am now on Google+ ! I was holding off on joining because I really didn’t feel like managing one more social media outlet. But since Facebook is changing (stay tuned for my newsletter), and Google+ is great for SEO I knew it was time to join in on the bandwagon. Since it’s still so new to me, I’m learning as I go. You can follow me here. Are you on Google + too? Be sure to let me know!
