This month I have finally ventured into the world of audio-books and my Kindle (both my hand held one and the app on my phone) have been fully loaded with some great books. I also got my hands on a beautiful hardback edition from the library that I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to purchase. It feel great to finally be back into the habit of reading again now that we are on a more consistent sleeping schedule.
What I’m Currently Reading
On My Kindle
The sometimes funny expression, “Is everyone hanging out without me?” has always resonated with me. Though I have always had friends, I have struggled with finding a community — especially in this season of motherhood. My closest friends, ironically, don’t live anywhere near me and while I have many acquantinces and casual relationships with women, I’ve always felt a longing for something more.
As I’ve been reading Connected, I’ve learned that I’m not the only one who feels this way. Full of Biblical wisdom and insight, I’ve been shaking my head in agreement on just about every page!
I’m actually listening to this one (why has it taken me so long to get into audio books?) I only started a few days ago and am only in the second chapter but already I can sense that this one will be a game changing book. I already feel so inspired!
On My Nightstand
Better Than Before: Mastering the Habits of Our Everyday Lives by Gretchen Rubin
I just received this on in the mail and can’t wait to dive in. I’ve enjoyed her Happier books and have read some good reviews on this one too. Have you read it yet? It just came out last month so it’s still relatively new.
I checked this one out from the library and devoured it in one night. I’m pretty sure that I’m going to have to purchase my own copy because I placed post-it book marks on just about every recipe!
Each recipe not only sounds delicious, they are sound pretty easy to make too. Plus, for the most part, all the ingredients are real food options that you can find in just about every store which makes it super convenient in my book.
What I’m Planning on reading Soon

I had this on my reading list to read in January but with Jack’s birth and knowing this book would be filled with awesome motivation, I made the choice to push it back a few months. I keep reading reviews that make me so exited to start digging into this one.
