  1. I so need to organize my closet! Pinning this and hoping I get motivated soon! 🙂

  2. These are great tips! I can attest to the stretching of bulky sweaters when hung up. I just pulled one out of my closet to wear and had to try and smooth out those “hanger bumps” first. Look forward to your next post.

  3. Such great ideas!!! I love your approach to simplicity here with cleaning and organization. It’s very refreshing for someone who often uses shoe boxes to organize closets.

    1. Thanks, there is nothing more discouraging to read that you have to go out and buy things to organize what you already have! I am a firm believer in using things already in your house and only buying something if you truly need it.

    1. Britni I struggle too with wanting things to look pretty as well, but I try and compromise with myself that if it something that others will see I can make an investment in it, but if it is just for my eyes (like my closet) than I try to go the simpler more frugal route.

  4. I need this so bad! Now if I could just find an elf that likes to organize closets, I will be set! Thanks for sharing!

  5. Great tips! My closet is already pretty minimal and even more so this week since I donated a bunch of stuff to a local church for a fundraiser. I also love hanging my tops and skirts and even pants for the most part. I don’t iron, so it sure does make them look nicer! Visiting from Fellowship Fri. and looking forward to checking out more posts in this series.

  6. lovely! I will be abiding by your ways and see through it if it works for me. 🙂

  7. Oo I need one of those circle hangers. I have way too many scarves (especially for living in Florida) and nowhere to put them. Great tips! Stopping by from SITS 🙂 Have a great rest of your weekend!

  8. Good post. I have cats who like to play with my scarves, so I’ve learned to keep them safe in an old decorative chest that belonged to my mother. My shoes – I have one back of the door hanger that stores my popular shoes – the ones I wear most of the time, the rest get dumped into a laundry basket in the corner, except for the out of season ones (like sandals in the winter) that go on a shelf in my spare bedroom. One thing that might be worth mentioning is to box up or declutter some of the items to make room – example, things that don’t fit right now, or items that need repair or that you just plain don’t like. That way you have more room for the things you do wear. My brother-in-law does the same thing with his shirts, but he has to have all of the hangers exactly a 1/2 inch apart. That man would never survive married to me – every time I got mad at him, I’d go in and shove everything together! #SITSSharefest
