  1. Sadly, I am like the hare but learning that I need to be like the tortoise. I tend to be an all-or-nothing kind of gal. But age is catching up and I am seeing the wisdom of doing things slow and steady!

  2. I so needed to read this. I’ve been working slow n steady on my goals since last summer (because who needs to wIt until Jan 1st to set new goals, right?) but I feel like progress has been even slower. This was the reminder that I need to just keep putting one foot in front of the other. I burn out very easily so the fact that I (mostly) have not struggled with burnout the last 6 months is a huge improvement! Anyway, thanks for this reminder.

  3. As a retired elementary teacher, I’ve always loved this story. Recently I had a total hip replacement and my physical therapist reminded me of this fable in regards to my progress in taking back my life after major surgery. Not only do I need to be diligent about doing my exercises and gradually resuming responsibilities around my home, I need to give myself a lot of grace.
