  1. I love neat, orderly things. I never thought of putting together an area for all things spiritual learning. I might do this too. It would make things easier.

  2. I really like this idea! I recently rounded up some of my kids’ faves into a crate, but you’ve gone even further to themes, like the Bible book basket. Great idea!

  3. This is a really lovely idea, both for children and adults. It’d be great for workbooks, school books, journals, etc. The baskets are cute too so it keeps the home organized AND beautiful.

    1. Yes! I plan on making some as my children get older for their school work and supplies. I hope to model and teach them the importance of keeping their materials organized this way.

    1. Jennifer that is exactly how my end table used to look now everything is contained and looks so much neater than before! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Great idea of a Bible book basket. We have done this in our living room and it’s very helpful. Reduces stress as we can typically find what we need. Unless of course one of toddlers got into it. Thanks again!

  5. What a great idea! And I love that you are aware of what a great model you are setting for your children. I actually went through a guilt phase when one of my children was still a babe–I knew I was doing the right thing, but it was hard to set babe down and read (emotionally). It wasn’t until I realized she needed to see me spend time with my Lord that I was able to be really satisfied.
    Blessings,

    1. It’s so easy to fall into the trap of mommy guilt when we do things for ourselves but it’s so important to feed our souls first so we can pour into our precious little one’s lives ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. This is a great idea. I also like the idea of having book baskets around the house for the kids.

  7. I love book baskets. I too started using them when my daughter was born. However, I never thought of a Bible book basket thought. Great idea, which I will be incorporating. Thanks!

  8. I love this idea and think I should make a mini basket for each of the kids as they both love to read and this would save books from being placed all over the living room!

  9. What a great idea! The only book basket in our house is one I use to keep track of borrowed books and dvds. I’ll definitely have to try putting my quiet time materials in a basket. I also think that it’s awesome that you have one for your kids too, it’s so great to get them in that habit early!

    1. I love the simplicity of book baskets. They are the one, simple organizational system that makes such an impact in keeping our books from going everywhere, which is so easy since they quickly accumulate! I probably should have a separate one for all of our library books, like you do, because on the date they are due I’m usually running all over the house trying to find them all! ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. What an awesome idea! Love seeing the one for the children, too. I’ll be looking for some of the books you recommend. I saw “Savior” at the book store and it looked good, too. And the baby is beyond adorable!

  11. Wow, i have never thought of this. It is neat and visually appealing. Great creative tip….I love it.

  12. I love that you have all different goodies in your basket. I have a hard time committing to one study or journal or Bible or style of study. I like to have it altogether. I’m looking for a meaty devotional to read, do you have any suggestions?

    1. Emily I actually just finished “Just Rise Up: A Call to Make Jesus Famous” by Sarah Martin. It’s a verse-by-verse study of Psalm 145 and provides lots of opportunity to go deeper in the word through journaling questions and prompts. It’s a book with 5 chapters and each chapter is broke up into 5 days reading. It has taken me months to work through it because it’s so good, challenging, convicting, encouraging and inspiring. Sarah writes in a very real and vulnerable way and is always pointing back to Scripture to back up every single thing she says. It was so good, here’s the Amazon link if you want to learn more –> http://amzn.to/1PuXA6I

  13. This is such a great idea one that I’m starting TODAY. I’m always looking for my bible stuff because I’m like you a different place everyday.
Thanks so much for this great post.

    1. Yea! So glad you are going to be putting together your own Bible book basket! It literally has been the best thing to help keep me organized and to make sure I’m actually in the Bible every day. Portable organization is a must for a busy mama! ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. This is such a great idea! I think I’m going to have to start doing this.. I love that it’s portable and still fits nicely on the shelf. Thanks for sharing!

  15. While I call it my worship basket, it’s the same thing. When each child gave their heart to Jesus and were baptized, a worship basket was their baptismal gift. Passing the gift of worship was a great privelge.

  16. Although I have just sorted my Bible baskets (one on my desk in the living room and one next to my bed) it was lovely to read what you have in yours. As a mom of 2 under 6 (until friday) it can be so hard to find that time to dedicate to your study but we moms find a way and are continuously modelling good habits of Bible study to our children. Mine currently have a keepsake Bible pens and pencils in an a4 zipped document folder that they keep on my desk or take to their bedrooms for their own quiet time with God, my son even highlights his Bible as he copies what I do in mine. Book baskets in general are such a useful and efficient way to store books and they always look so inviting around the house.
